Oklahoma Real Estate Commission’s new Enterprise Licensing System is live
CSDC Systems and Unisys to implement a modern digital government platform using AMANDA and the Unisys InfoImage CMS
The Commission provides licensees with quality education, support, resources and guidance in regulatory compliance.
To streamline processes and ultimately offer more efficient services, the Commission announced they would be making most processes available to licensees and applicants online. To do this, the Commission needed to replace their customized legacy system with an enterprise-wide licensing application to process real estate applications, examinations and licenses, while also connecting all departments and offices and provide them access to information needed to do their job. The Commission selected AMANDA, which ultimately streamlined the Commission’s services. AMANDA went live in Fall 2014, and OREC recognized efficiencies immediately. Fees are now being paid online allowing the agency to track payment and billing dates without delay.
As a web-based system, all departments have access to licensing information at anytime, anywhere regardless of where the information is stored. Scanning and attaching documents directly into the system has eliminated the need for hard copy files which has also increased efficiency (there is no longer a need to review hard copy files and then pass them from one staff member to the next).
The biggest change to the Commission’s old system is the new web-based enrollment service which offers applicants and licensees the ability to enroll online. With the old system, only renewals could be submitted and paid online. Through the new portal, users can start the application process and move all the way through to the license issuance, maintenance, and education.
