Recognized technology leader joins growing govtech software innovator

Austin, Texas, January 29, 2018

CSDC, a leading software company serving the multibillion-dollar government technology market, has appointed technology veteran Rich Robinson as the company’s Chief Technology Officer. In his new role, Robinson will be responsible for product development and lifecycle, including product strategy, research and development, engineering and support.

“Every day, our government customers rely on us to identify the most compelling product solutions, create rapid innovation cycles and bring those solutions to market at scale. Rich is one of the strongest business-minded technologists there is. Adding his expertise and innovative mindset to our decades-deep knowledge of the govtech market and passion for customer success is powerful. It’s going to enable us to bring new platforms and products to governments to unlock innovation, empower cities to compete, and enable citizens to thrive,” said Erin Nelson, CEO of CSDC.

Robinson most recently was vice president of Digital Transformation and CIO for SunPower Corporation, a multibillion dollar global solar company. Before that he served in technology leadership roles at Dendrite International, NBC Universal, kgb (formerly InfoNXX), and Bazaarvoice. He is active in Austin’s thriving technology community and serves on the Board of Directors for Beneplace. He’s a recognized thought leader in agile product development, Software as a Services (SaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (cloud), and the evolving discipline of DevOps. Before his corporate career, Rich was a U.S. Army Communications Officer. He served for five years on active duty, including deployment to Bosnia Herzegovina and Afghanistan, as well as three years of reserve duty.

Today, governments need to invest IT dollars as efficiently as possible so that limited resources can be best used to benefit their citizens. And those citizens who use web and mobile to interact with friends, retail, entertainment and more expect to do the same with government. Governments of all types use CSDC software to enable and compete for growth and help their citizens thrive. CSDC builds cloud-based technology that is as scalable and flexible as corporate enterprise software, enabling governments to interact with citizens where, when and how they want.

“The govtech space is on the verge of a tremendous innovation cycle as governments look for innovative, scalable, and citizen-centric solutions that help them make their communities great. I’m thrilled to join a team that has unmatched knowledge of governments’ technology needs and plans at a time of unprecedented transformation,” said Robinson.
