Fire departments are mandated to protect life and property from fire. As one of the leading products on the market, AMANDA can track all fire prevention functions. AMANDA software provides fire inspectors with an extremely effective method of managing inspections, tracking permits, and tracking violations in a timely and accurate way.
Complaints can Trigger Inspections - Today’s citizens are conditioned to contact fire departments with complaints or concerns:
· Using AMANDA, staff can quickly record fire-related complaints and book fire inspections according to location and available inspectors.
· AMANDA’s built-in database stores all addresses by district, letting inspectors pinpoint a property and access its history.
· AMANDA software uses To-do lists and daily reminders to help officers monitor their fire inspection workload and schedule events.
· Our mobile software enables fire inspectors to have field access to all their inspections and violations on their laptops, Tablets, PocketPCs or Palm PDAs, either using a wireless connection or working offline.
Large fire codes make it difficult for fire inspectors to select the correct code for a violation. By loading the code into AMANDA, inspectors can easily look up a particular section on their mobile device and insert the violation into a compliance letter that they can leave with the client. Violations that have associated fines are automatically invoiced based on their severity, remedy deadlines and non-compliance penalties. Each violation’s location is recorded, so any staff can re-inspect the site and know exactly what they need to check.
Documents and Reports - Everything from Pre-Inspection Notifications to Occupancy Permits can be generated with AMANDA. Error-free letters reduce the fire department’s risk of disputes over enforceability. The software frees inspectors from worrying about the legal wording in letters while still allowing them a flexible way to enter their observations. The system also makes it easy to generate reports, analyze the collected data, and identify repeat offenders and problem areas. These reports include Fire Marshal Statistics, inspection statistics and fire education programs.
Integrating CAD and GIS - The software lets fire departments exchange building plans electronically with engineering designers during the permit review process. Staff can open CAD files in AMANDA to check fire suppression systems, make revisions and send the files back to designers. The system also contains an embedded GIS tool that can be linked to an existing GIS system. Any information collected on mobile devices is updated into the main database via wireless network or synching when in the office.
