Tasks can move successively through each discipline or various groups can even work on it in parallel. Each staff person can use the system’s To-do lists, reports, reminders and mandatory checklists for tracking their workload and scheduling events. These checks ensure that application fees are paid and information is complete before permits are issued.
Automate Building Inspections - Our Mobile PAL software lets inspectors view and update processes assigned to them:
· Building inspectors can use Mobile PAL on laptops, tablets, PDAs and Smartphones, working offline or with a wireless connection.
· Mobile PAL helps inspection staff quickly enter findings with minimal keyboard input.
· Deficiencies found during inspection can be looked up by keyword or code section and tied to the inspection for tracking and re-inspection.
· When the review is complete, Mobile PAL creates an inspection report citing sections and text of the building code, which can be printed and left on-site.
· For management reporting, the system can capture mileage, expenses and time units for each inspection as well as time for non-process related tasks (lieu time, training, vacation, administration.)
Online Permitting, Interactive Voice Response - Our AMANDA Public Portal software lets building departments accept permits via the web. The system validates online applications in real-time, making the person applying online responsible for correcting their mistakes. The building department can change online permit forms anytime. Applications and electronic plans are instantly available for review, unlike paper forms which need rekeying. Using our web-based technology, building departments can incorporate external parties into the plan review process. Our AMANDA review module lets architects, engineers, private inspectors and contractors connect to AMANDA via the web. Once logged in, they can track the permits they’re working on. Electronic plan review can be done online sharing many CAD file formats. AMANDA records when they responded, so building officials can measure the turnaround time of tasks involving outside firms. Connecting to an Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system lets inspectors and permit applicants request new inspections, reschedule or cancel them and access inspection results, all with a touch-tone phone.
