AMANDA 5 is the next generation of AMANDA software.

The AMANDA Framework helps jurisdictions meet regulations, increase compliance, and manage risk. Designed for the web environment, as a multi-tiered Java (J2EE) application, AMANDA 5 is based on extensive customer input and focuses on the activities of each user group and department. It is designed to support all of a jurisdiction's activities, such as application intake, internal reviews, third party reviews, on-site inspections, management approvals and eServices.

Flexible Browser Based UI

AMANDA 5's redesigned, web based User Interface (UI) allows for central deployment and support, reducing complexity and costs for your IT Department. AMANDA 5's browser based format increases flexibility by providing users with remote access to the AMANDA database. The UI is redesigned from a user's perspective to maximize ease of use.

Real Time Business Intelligence

The new AMANDA Executive Monitor module provides real-time data and dashboards with Key Performance Indicators to make accurate decisions and monitor trends. It provides the ability for management and staff to drill down to access detailed and record level information.

Personalization

AMANDA 5's addition of My Office allows users to customize views and pages based on their needs. Similar to AMANDA Executive Monitor, My Office uses dashboard views and widgets, called My Elements, enabling quick and easy access to release of use and maintaining security through access to relevant AMANDA functions and data.

These shortcuts reduce the clicks required for frequent and repetitive tasks. The ability to link to external resources, along with the inclusions of Map Tab and the new Task List make My Office a productivity portal for each user. From a single starting point, a user can access all of the information and tools required for their position.

Interoperability

AMANDA 5 includes an updated, web-services based AMANDA EAI (Enterprise Application Interface) for better integration with 3rd party tools, resulting in timely data conversion. EAI has been designed to receive updates from, or provide updates to, third party applications such as:

  • Financial Accounting;
  • GIS;
  • Human Resources;
  • eBusiness (existing websites, query/list, monthly documents);
  • 311 or Call Center;
  • IVR (phone pay, compliance letters);
  • Federal Statistics (e-file); and
  • Legacy Systems.

Ease of Administration

At an organizational level, AMANDA administrators can tailor the buttons, labels and functions presented to each user group, improving ease of use and maintaining security through access levels.

Mobile Access

AMANDA Mobile is an easy-to-use inspection tool that fully validates information entered and ensures accurate updating and synchronization with the main AMANDA server. Inspectors can handle their workload both online and offline when not connected to a central database. In situations when a mobile user needs access to the complete database, rather than a subset, a WAN enabled notebook or tablet is used to access AMANDA 5.

Public Accessibility

AMANDA 5 enables jurisdictions to empower citizens through self-service, increasing customer satisfaction and reducing the strain on staff resources. AMANDA Public Portal ensures processes initiated online by citizens are subject to the same business rules as those done through the front counter.
