Stratford, ON has recently completed Phase I of its AMANDA Public Portal implementation. This initial phase focused on the launch of Stratford’s online public query service which allows citizens to access and search for building and planning department permits, licenses and by-law complaint information.

By providing this online public query service, City of Stratford has empowered its citizens with the tools and resources to obtain permitting and licensing information at their own convenience, while minimizing the time Stratford staff spend responding to queries over the phone or counter.

Stratford’s new Online Business Permits and Licenses Service will allow citizens to search for:

• Permits (issued or pending) by any property in the City.

• Contractor Licenses (plumbing contractors, and drain layer contractors) by company name.

• Complaints that have been filed and are under investigation by property address.

• Business Licenses (bed & breakfast/accessory guest room licenses and group home registration) by property address.

The online public query service is an extension of the City's existing implementation of AMANDA, which was originally launched in 2005. Phase I is currently available to the public and is accessible at https://eserve.city.stratford.on.ca/.

Phase II of this initiative is currently in progress, and will allow builders, contractors and home owners to apply for and check the status of their permits and schedule building inspections, all online.
