Business Analyst

As a member of the Professional Services team, you will be responsible for analysis, design, configuration and testing of CSDC solutions to meet client-specific requirements.


  • Facilitate business analysis workshops and document solution designs for client sign-off
  • Configure software modules to satisfy client-specific business processes, rules and other functional requirements
  • Collaborate with technical consultants and the solution architect regarding business requirements for integration, data conversion and complex business logic
  • Test the fully configured application to ensure the solution is producing expected results
  • Support UAT and issue triage and resolution
  • Deliver formal training to client project team members and/or end users
  • Provide knowledge transfer to client project team members throughout the project lifecycle
  • Provide input into solution design to the CSDC project manager and solution architect
  • Assist with scoping and analysis of client engagements as appropriate
  • Manage multiple deadlines and milestones
  • Monitor progress and report status updates to Project Manager
  • Track and communicate issues and proactively troubleshoot and resolve problems
  • Assist in RFP response, sales demos, and marketing activities


  • University degree or college diploma with a concentration in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Commerce, or equivalent
  • Minimum two years’ of relevant experience in a software implementation and consulting role
  • Experience defining and documenting business processes and transaction flows
  • Experience configuring business logic in a web-based platform
  • Understanding of the software development life cycle, including business requirements definition, review of functional specifications, development of test plans, testing, user training, and deployment
  • Working knowledge of Oracle and MS-SQL relational databases
  • Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, time management and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent client relationship skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of quality and client satisfaction
  • Well-developed computer skills, and a working knowledge of the Windows environment including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project and Outlook
  • Ability to travel across North America up to 30%


  • Ability to write and debug PL/SQL and T-SQL
  • Knowledge of JSP, Java Script, XML and HTML
  • Experience implementing enterprise COTS solutions in public sector organizations
  • Experience in land management, permitting or licensing practices, freedom of information, and/or grants management in the public sector
  • Project management skills
  • Experience with AMANDA
  • Experience with Grantium
