CSDC's Assessment Services net strong results for AMANDA
Mississauga, ON
April 28, 2008
CSDC's AMANDA software is able to absorb new business rules, enabling its government users to adjust it to their continuously changing environment. But with the tough constraints of increasingly limited resources, it's difficult for governments to ensure that their AMANDA configuration conforms to current operational and management objectives. If the system gets out of step with changing operating procedures, users can fall behind in maximizing their performance.
CSDC has created an Assessment Service that reviews the knowledge and process changes that are needed while providing an assessment on the organization's internal AMANDA user and technical knowledge. The service also gives government agencies strategic insight into how they may leverage the latest AMANDA technology.
The service is provided by CSDC consultants, who are well suited because of their in-depth technical AMANDA expertise and their knowledge of best practices for solving common issues. The service is geared to fit within most clients' time and budget requirements.
The assessment process starts with CSDC consultants coming onsite and meeting with appropriate senior and operational stakeholders. They examine a client's processes against the management team's key performance metrics, using monitoring tools resident in the AMANDA platform. Consultants compare the client's performance methodology against a pool of other non-identified regional clients to determine whether measures need to be redefined, or other steps taken to reach their full performance potential.
After the assessment is completed, CSDC validates all recommendations with appropriate stakeholders and presents a final report to senior management outlining findings, recommendations and a detailed road map to address each recommendation. The final Assessment Report doesn't usually recommend additional modules.
Several jurisdictions are using these recommendations as part of their internal Business and IT priorities for the months and years to come. Some clients are instituting regular corporate-wide assessments to ensure they stay up-to-date with new AMANDA technology; others have found it gives a better understanding of how well they utilize AMANDA compared to similar jurisdictions.
"Since we introduced this service a year ago, half a dozen clients have had CSDC assess their AMANDA setup," says CSDC's Senior VP of Client Services, Sebastien Pare. He added, "Many are surprised by our review of how they rate with benchmarked performance we've seen in comparable governments."
